This is Marco, I go by the ‘road name’ of ‘COBRA 2’

A Modern Nomad

I was born in 1981 and I lived my youth in Forlì (Emilia-Romagna, Italy).
As a student I moved to Bologna to pursue a career in computer science and after living there for about 7 years, I finally moved to London where I spent the last 6 years, until November the 6th 2014, before this project begun.

I am an IT professional, I have a strong background as a System Administrator and recently I got a new position as a DevOps Engineer that I can perform “on the road” for a very cool British company called Session Digital Ltd (part of the Inviqa group)

My passions are riding my motorcycle, diving, cooking and DIY, philosophy and of course travelling.
I have tried and loved many other things like playing the guitar, windsurfing, kayaking, riding a sport bike, Raspberry-Pi hacking and much more.
I am interested in learning, I love to meet people. I try to stay curious.

I love to engage with people to do things, to develop ideas, to dream together.
Dreams are the fuel of life.

Following my dreams

i ride around the world pursuing what i call “THE JOURNEY OF DREAMS”

Meet People An Be Inspired

What I Will Pursuit Is A Modern Nomadic Life Dedicated To Learn So To Bring Improvement To The World

Enrich My Spirit

One Of My Dreams Is To Help Others To Believe In Their Dreams And Develop Them

Meet People And Find A Way To Inspire Them.

Be Part Of The Divine Circle Of Goodness.   And this is how I’m turning into a Modern Nomad (or Digital Nomad if you prefer)

Nomad

NOMAD (biker). It is a valued distinction of lifestyle that only a few can truly live up to, and as such, causes unfavorable notice when seen used by those most obviously not living up to the common meaning.
By definition a “NOMAD”, more often than not, will be traveling alone and needs an ability to represent, maintain & otherwise survive under circumstances unusual from the norm.

How it all begun

On November the 6th 2014 I started traveling, the journey around the world will be one, but not the only one, of the challenges of The Journey Of Dreams. I’m taking it slowly, I try to enjoy the most of the places where I’ll be living or just visiting. Year 1, Europe. Year 2… to be defined, probably Americas.

What is driving me in this project is the need to change the paradigm of my every-day life style.

The routine home-work-entertainment-home kind of life doesn’t apply to me anymore.

I love my job, but it takes too much of my day time and at the end of a day spend at the office I feel frustrated for not having enough energies and time left to pursuit my dreams and passions.

When the week-end comes the strongest thought and desire is to stay home and recover energies, on top of that, lies the strong worry about avoiding any intense activity that would take me exhausted to the beginning of the following week as I feel the pressure to perform well at work.

I coped with this for too long now.

I am not the first person and there never will be a last one that has taken an action about it, now that my turn has come I want to do something meaningful with my life.

Business as usual

I am very fortunate as I hoId a job that can be performed from anywhere there’s an internet connection, meaning that on my wandering around the world will work as usual for my employer, but just for a few days a week on a part-time basis. No more from an office in Central London, but from a coffee shop in Timbuktu or a cruise on the Great Barrier Reef.
I will have more time to develop my ideas, bring them around the globe and will finally have more time to be dedicated to other people and not only to myself.

What are you waiting for?!
Learn. Contribute. Inspire.
